Author, internet entrepreneur, performer and sleight of hand expert Aaron Fisher was the special guest on iTricks.com video chat on Wednesday.
For almost two hours Aaron, who is becoming quite a raconteur, held court by answering posted questions on The Paper Engine, his much improved website, performing, current events and being Aaron FIsher.
During the chat Fisher hinted at new releases coming up soon and also discussed the value of studying the classics of magic like Expert at the Card Table and modern classics like Roberto Giobbi's Card College.
Fortunately I realized that I haven't spent much time with The Paper Engine as I should have which I will begin to remedy this weekend and I still haven't acquired Search & Destroy which I will order this weekend.
Go to Aaron's site which has demo clips, really good podcasts on card sleights, creativity and Erdnase plus several short essays originally used for new subscribers to his newsletter. Interestingly Aaron has begun to offer private instruction which may be the best value for the serious student.
From what I understand the student will have to travel to Los Angeles which isn't the worst thing in the world but imagine getting several hours over a few days studying with one of the world's premiere close up card magicians.
